The mission.

Inspire smokers in Kent to give up smoking - for good.

Kent County Council commissioned Social Change to design and develop a campaign to encourage as many people as possible in Kent to give up smoking for good.

The campaign.

Guiding people towards the right support for them.

We created a social and online campaign to bring smokers through to a dedicated landing page set up for the campaign that matched people with the different support options available.

We worked with a range of commercial partners including Asda and Rowlands Pharmacy to bring as many people as possible through to the services and support on offer.

We also produced a range of videos to inspire action including interviews with beauty therapists and vets who talked about the effects of smoking on your skin and how it harms pets.

The impact.

We reached over 240,148 people in Kent during the six month campaign and our content was seen more than 3 million times. The landing page which matched people to the various support offers had around 5,000 visits a month. Over 400 quit kits were sent directly to people who wanted to quit independently. NHS services saw an increase in demand for support during and after the campaign period and smoking prevalence in Kent has continued to decline.
